Purple.

Purple.

One day. One colour. One way to commemorate the LGBTQ+ youth who have felt so excluded, so bullied, so rejected by society and so alone that they have ended their lives.

One way to commemorate the loss of LGBTQ+ youth. Not the only way. And not a way that prevents more suicides from happening.

Today, choose to wear purple.  Choose to create a world where LGBTQ+ youth are affirmed, are valued and appreciated, not bullied and excluded.  Let LGBTQ+ youth know we want them to be here, to be proud and to live their lives.  To experience the part where it gets better and to help create a world that doesn’t suck now.
